We’ve teamed up with Gee’s Restaurant in Oxford to offer one lucky reader and a guest the chance to win tickets to The Legends Offal Dinner, taking place on 8 July. The prize includes a welcome drink and return travel from London Paddington to Oxford.
Set within the iconic Oxford Grade II listed Victorian glass house, the evening will see industry legends Rowley Leigh, Simon Hopkinson and Jeremy Lee host the dinner. There will be specially designed menu from the trio, accompanied by the chefs’ musings and memories of working with offal during their experiences working in the world’s top kitchens. The event will be comperéd by Gee’s founder Jeremy Mogford.
The menu will begin with crostini di fegatini, followed by dried salted pigs liver with quail’s egg salad alongside deep fried lamb sweetbreads with sauce gribiche as well as yakitori duck hearts and beef tripe with spring onions, ginger chillies and coriander. The main course will be Ox tongue zampone with salsa verde and seasonal vegetables, finishing with vanilla buttermilk pudding.
