OK, a quick game of word association: when we say “art fair”, you think what? Sculptures made of cardboard, dog hair and PVA glue, yours for just £20k? Craggy-faced collectors? A pervading air of monied smugness? All solid answers and all solidly wrong when it comes to the Affordable Art Fair, which runs Thursday-Sunday this week (20 Oct – 23 Oct). The clue’s in the name, as all the work (from 110 galleries) is priced between £100-5000, while a variety of free workshops are on offer.
