Things to do

Meatmap Friday 19 August: Night Tube, ribs and gin

Pinpointing the weekend's best pop-ups and street food

1. Rhythm And Brews at Chicago Rib Shack

Camden Lock, NW1. Sun Powering through a plate of ribs on Dingwalls’ roof terrace while Chicago blues spins on the decks. That’s the one, isn’t it? That’s the one that’s going to have you scribbling out “watching West Ham vs Bournemouth with a bowl of Weetos” in your diary. It’s free entry and there’s an ace craft beer selection too.

2. Gin Bop

Rivington Grill Greenwich, SE10. Tonight A massive gin celebration where you can get Rivington’s signature burgers for £7. If you’ve neglected gin recently, here’s your chance to right that wrong.

3. Night Tube party

Various sites. Tonight The excellent Sun Tavern and Discount Suit Company boozeholes out east (close together on Central Line) have special late-night shindigs; DCS is doing £5 boilermakers.

4. Corona Terrace Party

Last Days Of Shoreditch, EC1. Sun Slinky beach tunes; loads of cold, crisp Corona; and all the usual street-food masters. One of summer’s last hoorahs.

5. Small Plate Sessions

The Common Old Oak, NW10. Sat Tapasy dishes from innovator Ben Spalding (eg sticky ribs with bonfire salt, mango and creme fraiche) twinned with top Secretsundaze DJing.
