Burger recipe: bacon cheeseburger surprise

To celebrate National Burger Day , the expert chefs at have developed a one off bacon burger bomb recipe, developed with top quality grass fed minced steak and home cured back bacon. National Burger Day is the perfect opportunity to try something more exciting than the everyday burger, so impress guests with this meat revolution.


  • 800g grass fed minced steak
  • 8 slices of finely diced dry cured back bacon
  • 500g block cheddar cheese
  • Salt & pepper


1. Add the minced steak and diced bacon to a bowl, season with salt and pepper and mix together

2. Divide the mixture and gently roll into eight equally sized patties

3. Cut the block of cheese into eight cubes

4. Take each cube and press into the middle of the patties, carefully rolling the mixture around each piece of cheese so that the cheese is fully enclosed in the centre of the patty

5. Place the patty on a hot griddle or frying pan for 6-7min on each side or until cooked through and the cheese is melted

6. Serve the cooked burger on a grilled bun and garnish to taste
