This weekend’s best street food and pop-ups: get in touch with your Celtic side

What a couple of days

This weekend's best street food and pop-ups: get in touch with your Celtic side

1. The Celtic Connection Session

584 Kingsland Road, E8, Saturday You know what St Patrick's Day means: Tony from Accounts, born and raised in Purley, suddenly talking with a thick Cork accent because his stepdad's brother once went. Top craic. But this year let's try something different. Pop-up food masters Dram & Smoke are throwing a party with Talisker that's influenced by those wild Celtic cousins, the Scots. Smoked haggis toasties, cured venison jerky, and sooooo much whisky. Superb.

2. Pop Brixton

49 Brixton Station Rd, SW9, Saturday Between 5-7pm, anyone named Patrick will get a free pint of Guinness. Are YOU named Patrick? Make double sure, then head on down!

3. Number 90

90 Main Yard, E9 The mega-good Hackney Wick funzone is now three years old, and is doing special'n'sexy food and drink things to celebrate.

4. Peg + Patriot

Patriot Square, E2 A new cocktail list, Chef's Notebook, inspired by the work of Big Deal Foodies like Heston Blumenthal (eg a jam tart cocktail).

5. Onodera

15 Bury St, SW1, Friday and Saturday Saunter on down for some of that sweet sweet half-price food, part of the soft launch of the Japanese spot.
