Something fishy about this place! *Riotous canned laughter* *Standing ovation of unprecedented length and intensity* Yes friends, Michelin-starred chef Gary Foulkes has gifted us a seafood-heavy affair, perched daintily on the summit of Moorgate’s South Place Hotel. Lunch is served on the terrace in the afternoons when the weather’s good – it’s best to call ahead – and after 2.30pm the outdoor selection reverts to snacks (we recommend the arancini balls). There’s a pleasantly secluded feel, but the place livens up for its rooftop parties and live DJs.
Summer-ready dish: Cornish red mullet, Umbrian lentils, octopus and smoked marrow butter
Cocktail: Rod Season (gin, lavender juice, blueberry liqueur, green apple)
